Most people have no idea Florida was once in the top 5 cattle states. Florida was right up there with Texas years years ago. Kissimmee used to take a lot of pride in its cattleman heritage.

There's an old vat, likely for sheep due to its size, in the woods not too far from our house in MS

Yes Sir! I’m a 5th generation Floridian and my grandfather and great grandfather were Osceola Cowboys, my older brother and I now have our great grandfathers homestead and one of those concrete dipping baths is still on the property.

I worked on Latt Maxcy ranch in central Florida. They still used the vats that were at each set of cowpens from that time period.

my papa worked with farmers who did this in the 60s when he was a teenager he said they'd toss and pets that had flea or mangy dogs said it kill fleas and ticks

The first Feedyard I rode Pens at was in Hereford Tx. The dipping vat was still in use in 1989
