if you don’t multiply anything you don’t get an answer bcuz you didn’t multiply anything

Ironically, Nothing × Nothing = NNOOTTHHIINNGG
It's the same with × = .
What I'm saying is that its still nothing, but more complicated.

If you multiply nothing by nothing, it's nothing. I hate to break it to you, but youre implying we have something to begin with. Therefore, not nothing. Take it like this. "If nobody has any cookies, how many cookies are there?" There aren't zero cookies, there aren't zero friends, there's just nothing. By your logic, we would be starting out with 1 friend or 1 cookie to begin with. But we arent. If youre multiplying nothing by nothing, there is nothing. No number line, no math, no anything. There is nothing. Its not a valid equation because there is nothing. There is nothing to multiply. Its not 1. Its nothing.

If nothing times nothing equals 1 then nothing equals the square root of 1 or just 1. So replacing nothing with 1 in the original gives you 1 times 1 equals 1. Yep, checks out.

I also like to think of the [ ] + [ ] := 0 case more like Σ_{i ∈ ∅} i := 0; and of [ ] * [ ] := 1 as ∏_{i ∈ ∅} i := 1 (because [ ] doesn't feel like a number for which +, * is defined; whereas i ∈ ∅ does feel like a well-defined condition over which to sum or multiply).

Nothing in math is like banana in math. It doesn’t mean anything you cant use x^0=1 to prove that apple x pear = 1

Great explanation! At one point you say “almost any number to the 0 power is 1;” is there a number that does not follow this rule?

actually we know 0! is 1 BECAUSE of a special rule that says that (n-1)! equals n!/n,
if we plug it in 0!, (1-1)!=1!/1, which is 1
0^0 is 0 btw because no numbers is still 0, 0^0 DOESNT mean null×null
*null means that a value is not set to the variable, aka, NaN

This is nonsense. When you start adding you start with zero. But when you add 3 to 2, then you start with 2.
When you start multiplication, you start with 1, but you only do that to make it analog to the 0. But 2x3 does not start with 1.
If you multiply nothing with nothing then according to you the result is 0. Nothing x nothing = 1, but since we add nothing the result would be 0.
Hence, totally ridiculous and self refuting.
