I get the comments about choosing yourself but it doesn't work like that. Watching everyone but you being chosen strips the love for yourself away.

"Choose yourself first." It doesn't always work like that. I can't call myself for support when I'm freaking out about my car dying and leaving me stranded. I can't call myself for a ride home from the hospital when they tell me I can't drive or take an uber. I can't give myself a hug when my dog dies. I can't always make myself food when I'm sick. I can't send myself Christmas or birthday cards in the mail. People need people and when you don't have anyone, no family or friends, you start questioning what the fucking point is.
