I’m seeing this perpetuated in “helping” systems right now — and in a lot of parenting approaches (been working in youth mental health for 8 years). It makes sense as a response to real historical inequity, but we’re watching the pendulum swing way into overcorrection in real time. There’s a growing lack of understanding that helping someone means helping them develop the capacity to navigate the world as it is — not shielding them from uncomfortable experiences and truths. Then, when these concerns are raised, many “helpers” start throwing around words like “ableist,” “colonial,” or “not trauma-informed,” effectively shutting down any possibility of conversation or collaborative truth-seeking. It’s interesting to watch people who genuinely seem to want to dismantle oppressive power dynamics unconsciously recreate them — sorting people into morally legible categories, deciding which perspectives are acceptable, and reinforcing the same distinct “us vs. them” tensions they were initially against.

how do you know all this stuff ive never met anyone who knows and understand all of this. like ive only heard buddhist and hindu monks talk abt this stuff, about how attachment to self righteousness is also attachment to ego. The human brain is afraid of uncertainty and feels the need to be "right" because of it

People use spirituality to fill a void. And that’s running away. Labelling people as “enlightened” or “the chosen ones” is also living in duality. Spirituality/ the truth is our natural state of being and everyone has the right to be. Love this video ♥️
