In the first chorus, the voice is a man's: Andrea Bocelli's part in the 1996 duet. In the final chorus it rises and becomes Sarah Brightman's part. In 2011, Pomoy won season 2 of Pilipinas Got Talent. At the audition, his man's voice was hoarse and tired. He switched to the woman's, and everyone thought it was lip-syncing. They asked him to sing again, with both voices. Since boyhood he had sung the Filipina Regine Velasquez in the woman's voice. In Surigao, he sold balut (boiled duck egg) and, in the breaks, sang with both voices. In 2011, the Philippine Star described how he moved from the male voice to the female one "without missing a beat", like a solo and a duet at the same time. On America's Got Talent: The Champions, which brings together champions of Got Talent franchises, the audition was on January 13. He sang the parts of Celine Dion and Bocelli in "The Prayer", and HuffPost wrote that he "is his own duet". The ending of "Con te partirò" is a long, high note, in a woman's voice. After this semifinal, the four judges gave him a standing ovation. Howie Mandel said: "The woman in you was as good as last time. But you, as a man, stepped it up a notch." Pomoy finished the show in 4th place.
