a month ago my husband went to Oakville ER. in and out in 3 hours. admitted, tested, treatment administered, medication for home. it was a great experience.

I worked as a chef at a nursing home for three years. I had to sign a confidentiality agreement, but I no longer work there so I don’t care. Long story short there would be times where we would be so shortstaffed for the nurses taking care of the elderly that we required at least 12 people to be working there. There would be many days that only about 3 to 4 people would be on staff to take care of 100 residents. This was pre-Covid. I could only imagine how bad it is now. We were told not to speak of this because simply for the fact of publicity. But look at the regular hospitals now if you got nurses that are quitting simply for the fact of saving their reputation, I don’t blame them because they shouldn’t be putting up with those kinds of work conditions and be expected not to say anything. We live in a world where they reward the evil and they punish the people who do good.

And Doug Ford is attempting to bring in a public private health care system . Other hospitals are laying off staff to to financial issues. We di not want a two teir system

My husband had surgery last week there and was waiting for hours after the surgery because they had no beds!!!! How does a brand new hospital not have enough beds??!

Our Healthcare is so screwed ,it's so sad and scary .I used to work in a nursing home for 3 yrs and it took me and many other nurses yrs to get the nursing home I worked at shut down .The stuff I saw was so upsetting daily I would come home n cry .I also live in Ontario.

I live in oakville and when I need a hospital I go to mississauga. I refuse to go to oakville.

I had 2 babies here within the last 5 years and had the most amazing care and incredible nurses. Also had an ER visit with my 2 year old a few months ago and while the wait was about 6 hours from start to finish, I couldn’t say enough good things about this hospital and their staff.

The hospital was moved from “old Oakville” (close to downtown) and built up on Dundas. Which used to be all fields until the hospital was built. The development around it now is insane and it is heavily one democratic.
