I must disagree. Historically men and women pulled it yogether at a uoung age and created a nation. Strong, not....

It's funny how humans expect other humans to know exactly what they themselves know. I have made the mistake of thinking this way. However, not all of us walk the same path. Some of us, miss the forest for the trees. If I can save some people the lack of having heard this "You are guaranteed nothing except for self" but there will be other wonderful things along the way. Also, "Never take what does not belong to you, ever "It is better to be recognized for the good in you, than it is to try and outrun the potentially bad". We are a lifetime in learning. Hope we all are paying attention 😏

By 22 I had 10 years in the workforce. People won't let their kids learn how to work. No wonder they become dependant as adults.

Why is everyone having such a hard time with this? 18 year olds are thrown out there and expected to leave structure and rules and figure it all out. They still need guidance— not babying or enabling but guidance

Not that long ago people were married, planting and harvesting crops and livestock to sustain themselves, building a cabin and raising kids by 16 or 17. Historically, the bar is shockingly low. Figuring it out and making mistakes? Sure. Waiting until you FEEL comfortable. Nah.

This! My kids are all early 20s. I’m like now is the time to learn and grow and figure out what YOU want. Not what the world tells you who you should be. I’ll always be here to cheer on their success and be here to help the rise back up if they need me. I always tell them … I’m a 1st time mom of each of them each year because I’ve never been a mom for child A as a 23yo or child B as a 20yo. I may be an adult in my 50s … but I’m still learning and growing too.

Give me a break. My father and other twenty-something year olds went to war, put their life on the line, and if they made it home sure as hell didn't hear "take your time, figure it out, you have the rest of your twenties." This itypr of nonsense is part of why you see parents accompanying their "adult" children to interviews.
