Babe… you work remotely. Get a 4 month sublease and try it on. If you don’t like it try a different city on for another 4 months. The way I’d never settle if I was remote.

I wasn’t born here, moved to Boston in 2017. I HATE the weather but I LOVE living here. Hope that helped 😅

Boston is not for the weak, we are kind but not nice. Everyone who’s saying it’s expensive is absolutely right, but it’s not insurmountable. Do your research about the different areas/neighborhoods. None are “better” than others but they’re all unique. I happen to love it here.

Boston is great. Subways, malls, stores, financial district, beautiful homes, the downsize is high rent costs. That’s the only downfall except traffic which you get in every city. But you can move in moth me. lol. You’re absolutely beautiful!

1. boston is great
2. you need to get to the point way faster
3. there's a large transient student population but you can put down roots here if you want
4. don't drive in Boston proper. just walk and take the T.

I moved from Northern VA to Boston about 7 years ago. I would go back in a second. Boston can’t compare to DC

Fully remote worker here! Moved here almost a year ago from Southern California barely knowing anyone and I’ve never made a better decision— I love it so much

don’t move to seaport. it’s lifeless and over priced! somerville or cambridge would be good for what you mentioned, specifically near lechmere. south end in boston is also really nice but pricy and small. there are a lot of ppl that moved here for college and never left. if you want to stay on the east coast i do think you should try boston out, esp if you think new york is too much. FB has good groups for finding roommates (betches of boston, queer housing boston) etc

I'd give an opinion but everyone from boston would bash and shame me even though they claim to be accepting so use that info as you will.

Boston is great but expensive. It’s small, walkable, clean, safe. It’s hard to break into friend groups but it’s not impossible! There’s a lot to do all the time! Sports scene can’t be beat.
