i have 4c hair and every time i take out my braids i straighten my hair and then i out leave in conditioner after like a week of 2 and do like a curly hair routine, THEN wash and blow dry and get ur braids, my hair grew from shoulder length to below my chest. USE BLUE MAGIC!!!

It’s okay you can keep the braids! Pick an oil and a blue magic you like. My favorite oils are tea tree, argon, and peppermint and for blue magic the blue, green, Indian hemp, and castor. Spray your hair twice a week with water, coat the braids with blue magic, then following up with the oil, then oil you scalp. Take down with water, oil your hair before washing, and make sure you use heat protectant. All of this can be under $15-$20 cause I don’t have time for it😭
