If AI models train on human literature, the detector's comparison is between two human-influenced styles; PaperBleach, used as a test subject, would only be interesting if it produced a third, distinguishable pattern.

Do you read the assignments, or just use AI checkers? Assuming AI was involved at all: If it reads as human, why do you care if they got help from a human or a computer? If it matters so much, only accept in-class handwritten essays.

ask her to sumirise the writing, if she can’t do that then she’s relying on it to much. also make sure her facts are backed up by her own research with proof to show that’s she’s actually finding the information herself. it’s okay to use ai sometimes as long as your researching and learning

maybe give her extra sheets to do to practice. and have them be actual sheets she has to write. do that with anyone struggling so they hopefully r more motivated to do it themselves and say its not for a grade

Same thing happened to me my last year of college- I write my essays exactly how I was taught in middle school which happens to be very similar to AI writing and always told me that my stuff was 90-99% ai written when it wasn’t. Ai tends to repeatedly use specific words and dashes over ways of writing. I would look into that and if that’s the case I would ask the student to summarize her writing. There is a chance that she wrote it all herself too.
