I feel like once you get your bow fitted specifically for you, you’re going to feel a lot more comfortable and confident shooting. One thing with your release is that you don’t want to punch or slam on the trigger because that can make you really inconsistent. You want the trigger closer to your hand so you’re not reaching for it with your finger. Instead of just pulling the trigger with your finger, you kinda want to slowly pull back with your hand and use that pressure to activate the release. That way, you’re not jerking the bow as much when you shoot, and you have more control and consistency. I don’t know if that makes sense lol. It’s honestly so much easier to show you with a release in my hand than it is to explain it over text!

My only critique would be to shorten the release. From my experience, instead of shooting with the pad of the finger you want more of a hook. That way your whole hand can squeeze and pull the trigger.

Anchor point is not solid. Use your nose or specific point of lip or ear. The back elbow should be straight back, don’t grip your bow square up your shoulders with your hips, bend at the waist. This is what goes through my head before I shoot.

What’s the plan for archery? Your bow would be dependent on draw span and weight and intention. Overall form looked good for no experience

try to keep a lil bend in your left elbow to avoid the bow scraping your inner arm and still hold onto the string when you pull it back, ive had so many of those clips get weaker and let go half way thru and it'll fuck up your shoulder or bow

Keep your elbow bent a tiny bit, the one holding the bow… if not you’ll end up with a giant bruise on your inter elbow/forearm… had it WAYYYY to many times.

Hold the bow up in place after the shot for a half second longer, like “follow through” when throwing a football. Idk why but it makes a difference for me. Hella nice group for the first time!!

I need to see your grip more however how i was taught was this- pick a spot where you draw to like i tuck up against the under part of my jaw/chin and pull there every time. Also you’re a little harsh on the squeeze for the release. Gentle that up a little just like a handgun or rifle slow steady squeeze

that's a great group for your first time and it not being adjusted to you. keep it up. i haven't hunted with my bow yet but my fiance does and just got a nice one last weekend. im excited to bow hunt next year
