If you can’t draw it in your yard in nice weather and shorts, imagine trying to do it it a tree stand when you are cold and have multiple layers of clothing on

reduce the pounds or work out! I have an older Hoyt ultratec dual cam, hunt from the ground and give myself a 3 count during the draw. you never know what critter is watching and waiting to bust you. it's the one you don't see that ruins your day.

I was taught to aim high and come down on your target. 🎯

As someone who has and can shoot both ways, neither is wrong…but pulling straight back is so bad for your shoulder. If you shoot a lot you need to be using the push pull method and them back muscles….it makes such a difference! :)

It’s ok to do it in a hunting situation but when your target practicing it’s actually really bad for your shoulders

1. yes you should be able to pull straight back you may have to do that while hunting ....
2. proper form for shooting is a push and pull not just pull. way up high like you show the bow is a sky draw but raising the bow up a bit and doing a push and pull method is far easier on your body and easier to pull. this is what you see 3d guys shoot like that. you should be able to do a bit of both

actually they're doing it a safe freeway the way you do it is very dangerous on your like muscles for the long term it's not good to just pull straight back you should actually have a little bit of you should hold the bow up just a little bit and come down as you're drawing but the way you're doing it is 100% not okay for the long run also just because someone doesn't pull straight back like you do does not mean that you need to reduce or poundage they might just personal opinion they like maybe like that better

I’m trying to use a bow, but every time I shoot, the string hits my arm, so I switched to a crossbow.

Are we ever gonna stop talking about this. Good grief. A sky draw is when you come to full draw with the arrow pointing up. What you are referring to is only used by the guys that use it, during reps at a target. It’s less stress on the body to split the riser from the string. By the time the string hits the stop it’s on plane with target. There is a massive difference. I do both situationally. And yes both, comfortably. Everybody just knows everything these days. Who cares man just do you

Yeah, that’s absolutely true but if you got a bad shoulder, you can’t do it and that’s what I’m having trouble with. I’m already down to 50 pounds draw weight still having trouble.

Sky draw is bad and pulling like you did is bad for your shoulder. I was taught, arrow parallel to the ground and above eyesight, bow arm bent, push with bow arm and pull with back muscles, sight above the target and come down.

Absolutely correct. Bow hunting is supposed to be as stealthy as possible. It takes 45lbs to enter and exit.

💯! You should be able to pull straight back in as close to the same plane as possible.
