So wood and fire could be the most rare things in the universe?

Remember oxygen is a waste gas from plants we the animals are the secondary life forms on this planet

Is it possible that there are other phenomena in the universe that only happen under certain condition and that’s why we haven’t observed them

isn't rust the same chemical process as fire? would rust preced "fire" in the traditional sense?

I’d guess the first fire was from an active volcano that caught something on fire when there was finally enough oxygen to support one (probably at least 1.5 billion years ago)

you don't technically need oxygen in specific for fire.

you absolutely need life..there are MANY forms of life..fire needs life to feed..

ok so I thought fire was a plasma and I looked into it and it is..... complicated. it is a plasma but I got lots of answers saying that fire contains plasma and lots of answers saying it is mostly plasma and some saying that it is plasma. so is this a squares are rectangles situation where all fires are plasmas but not all plasmas are fire? because if you can consider fire plasma then you'd have an argument with stars being huge balls of plasma are actually fire. and stars actually make oxygen as the fusion happens in the later stages of the stars life. which is weird that Michael didn't talk about this

Oxygen isn’t the only gas that causes fire. It’s also not the biggest problem for why there aren’t fires. The biggest problem is needing something that can burn. There is also the slight issue of where you define fire. Since there have been volcanic eruptions all throughout the solar system.

free oxygen is rare. most of it in the universe exists as either water, ice, or some other rock.

technically you don’t need oxygen to have a fire, you just need some kind of oxidizer. Sulfur, bromine, chlorine trifluoride, chlorine, fluorine, etc. can also sustain fires

There were certainly methane deposits around volcanos where the methane escaped and was ignited by lava.

That's only because oxygen is made by ocean micros and plant life. It's a BS statement.

Microbes came first like common LG, the produced oxygen.. then plants.. when plants died and lightning struck there was fire.. I existed long before a man
