You cannot build anything meaningful in a chaotic environment. Whether you are a man or a woman, peace and respect are things we have undervalued for far too long. They are not luxuries. They are the foundation of productivity. Let me paint it practically. Your partner picks up your phone at 1am and finds a comment on Facebook. Now you fight until 5am. You are a video editor with client work due today. Do you honestly think you are having a productive day? You go to your desk exhausted, emotionally drained, and unable to focus. The work suffers. The client notices. Your income eventually notices too. And we will not pretend that some of these fights do not turn physical. I have lived in residences where you hear the fighting, then twenty minutes later they are back together as though nothing happened. That cycle is deeply toxic. Now imagine trying to design a logo in that house. You are a creative. You need calm to think. But the dishes are a battlefield, the tension is constant, and someone is arguing about something small. Nothing good comes out of that. So start valuing the environment you live in. Look for people who bring you peace. People who are not toxic. People who are not entirely self centred. People who understand the purpose you are chasing and actually support it. And this is especially for men. Stop chasing based on excitement alone. Choose based on peace. I say this because my inbox is full of people who cannot work from home because of what is happening there. Sometimes you simply pack up and leave. And if that means being single for a season, be single. Use that time to grow. You attract who you become. Get better first. — Elvis W.
