#dainlumi | Evan&eren next? this edit is so bad im mad but explanation below .. art cr ibi_boko, pediledile, ochakunn lines ib satorifes, color change loop ib waflalee “i call your name but you’re not around” being how unreachable lumine has become. when they see each other again she deems him an enemy while he can only say her name, at a loss. they used to be traveling companions, each others company easily accessible to each other, only to now be completely distanced. “reaching out” being dain trying to reconcile but being unable, and him following her through the portal. she knows he yearns for closure and a convo with her and uses that in order to fight him (if it’s a conversation you want youll have to defeat me first - knowing he can’t refuse).“we partook in a painful journey but regrettably did not make it to the end together.” also, ‘what’s your favorite place?’ ‘i don’t remember.’ (when he says this he sounds strangely unfazed and actually lighthearted, not minding forgetting his own likes and memories that weren’t related to her) he literally forgot his own favorite places and yet remembers the detail of the flowers she used to like (‘ my memory has all but faded completely but i will always remember how much she too loved these flowers’ generational line congrats genshin for being the only media with dainlumi in it.. i hope to hear this dialogue in game,,), simply because it mattered to her and therefore meant something to him too. in a way he didn’t necessarily know who he was entirely as he ‘merely followed her around’ on that journey. he reduced it to there being nothing more to it when he knows there was more. hes able to track down other sinners of khaenriah and barely hesitated (though is definitely conflicted but eventually comes to terms with them being irredeemable/him having to interfere) to take them down yet with her being so far gone he still wants to rescue her and hesitated to fight her. it was easier to let go but not with her. !!
