I walked the River Trail along the cliffs today and stopped at the overlooks more times than I'd like to admit. This wasn't a bucket-list trip. It was a Sunday. A five hour drive, a trail, and a river doing what it's done for thousands of years whether anyone shows up or not. That's the whole point. Adventure isn't something you save for someday. It's usually a short drive away, waiting for you to put it on this week's calendar. Walk Year keeps teaching me this: the joy was never gone. I just stopped going out to find it.
