@whitesatinheels: a case that never sat right with me… #redwhiteandroyalblue #rwrb #heatedrivalry #BookTok #fyp

•Jane Doe• :

Red white and royal blue was absolutely beautiful and amazing I related to it, but heated rivalry literally was exactly how I felt about the girl I loved and it destroyed and altered my brain chemistry

nile :

Bro the movie felt sooo rushed like i read the books first and was so excited for the movie and they just cut out everything i was so dissapointed

🍨 :

honestly i’m glad it didn’t. i love heated rivalry and the long game (the books) and i loved the show but lowk the fandom weirds me out and kinda ruins the show for me 😭

🕸️⁶³ :

I sometimes believe this but I’m glad it didn’t. RW&RB is such a good fandom in my opinion. It’s not toxic. It’s welcoming and respectful. Don’t get me started on the actors! Which I absolutely adore!

loyalbook :

Mkay, but, hot take: The State of Us by Shaun David Hutchison deserved the RW&RB hype

jae 🏒🌞🍂 :

IM SO EXCITED FOR THE SECOND MOVIE YALL HAVE NO IDEA (i absolutely love both HR AND RWRB)

lilith.roxy :

i absolutely adore RW&RB but the book was wayyyyy better than the movie. the movie was weirdly paced, and a lot of good scenes and characters were brushed off. obviously you can’t fit a whole book into a movie but i wished they at least had more details or a nod to those things they had to cut out 💕

MJ :

I think if RWRB had the same fandom as HR then a lot more people would have issues with the movie like no June, no Luna, the extension of Miguel, Alex's parents being divorced, etc, the RWRB fandom, in my opinion, were pretty chill with the changes

secret is CARELESS <3 :

I was about be mad but then I say the NOT and I new we were chill

🎀ℰ𝓂𝓂𝒶🎀 :

we got over this movie way to quick

miyoritic :

Hot take: it didn’t deserve anything more than it got because Prime didn’t give the project what it deserved in the first place! It was meant to be a show and the movie stripped it of so much that made the story special, what we got was a 2 hour low budget movie that felt very Hallmark. US streaming services tried to butcher Heated Rivalry the same exact way but luckily Jacob had gotten the rights and was able to get Crave on board. Because of that we got a series that was true to the spirit of the book and deserved every bit of hype it got. Let’s hope the second movie is better.

Jayne Gonella :

Sucks ass, but the book is amazing

Amya williams :

Actually yes stop the wedding because heated rivalry got the wrong type of hype and I’ll be damed if they did the same to this (I love heated rivalry tho)

emmz🌧️ :

if they were able to make it a series and keep the og characters i think it wouldve gotten way more hype but the movie was so rushed, the book was so so much better

Liam (he/they) :

I found the book in a book store when I went to school in Boston in ‘23 and it was one of the best books I ever read. The only time I’ve ever written in a book to underline the lines that matched up with the movie and were my favorite.

Draganito :

I am so sad, this could have been a series, but they made it to a movie

J🪐S!E 🌙⚡️ :

guysguys im reading the book for the first time (im at the very start of chapter 6 rnnn) and its SO funny omg, but what actor from stranger things do we think would go to alex's party?😭😭😭

hølly🦇 :

Rwrb was peak

Noelle 너 :

Heated rivalry got the wrong type of hype :/

Ve :

I red it wrong at got scared

Maria G :

Estoy completamente de acuerdo. La película es tan buena que facilmente me la habré visto 15 veces, y yo nunca hago eso. Se merece muchísmo más reconocimiento

Madeleine~ :

I feel like it might get more hype after rwrw comes out but I kinda don’t want it to get like very well known because I don’t want it to become toxic

Melissa Diaz :

me gustan los gatos :

real

mariza :

they deserved it so much
