@birdsofprey_nathalie: 🦅🍂🍁Autumn is coming & Oropherion is already moving indoors at night! As the nights here in Germany become colder & more damp, Oropherion, our magnificent African Martial Eagle, is already spending his nights in his indoor winter aviary. Being an African eagle, he is not naturally adapted to the cold, damp winters we experience here in Germany. During the winter months, his indoor aviary is even heated to keep him comfortable & protect him from the risks associated with prolonged exposure to cold, such as frostbite. Keeping exotic species comes with great responsibility. It is our duty to understand their natural habitat, respect their individual needs & provide them with the appropriate environment & care throughout every season.
