My stepson is in Karate and we do some “challenges” like video them doing certain moves I am not knowledgeable of much in that lol.. I do the video and posting and ask him what the difference in the moves are and what terms mean he is patient and explains happily I always thank him too. We also (mom dad and myself co parent) he knows we have a group chat so wins and struggles are communicated so he has support and consistency. We also bring up “hey did SoAndSo said you did X. Good job I am so proud of you” and I make sure he’s around when I brag on the phone to my friends too
