@.carolgiselle: Quick math drills don’t have to be boring! ✨ Today we’re practicing our doubles all the way to 5, but I’m making it fun by having my first graders “power up” like superheroes as we say our facts together! 🦸🏽‍♀️💥 The goal isn’t just getting the answer right. I want EVERY student participating, thinking, saying the answer, and building that automaticity. Little engagement strategies like movements, call-and-response, and powering up help keep the whole class involved and make those math facts stick! The quicker the response, the more opportunities they have to practice. Our educational system is failing our kids🥺 & we need you. I wish you would sell your program to all of the school districts! I was thinking about a program that focuses on all of the skills you go over & more. The idea was they work on, and build “manners” and “life skills”🙏 every day/week and year as they advance through THE most important years! (obviously different focuses for each grade) - and I absolutely love your teaching style. Could you potentially build a program for all grades?!? They would continue to build from year to year in the same familiar learning style and curriculum? We *need someone like you to design this program that follows them -into a 12 year curriculum. Manners, grammar/language, math (and not the weird silly way of teaching math.. some concepts are extremely weird. Go back to old school way of teaching math IMO/ AND Reading- NO DEVICES EVER- BTW, I feel like we go w ZERO device usage EXCECT for a mandatory course one takes in HS in order to graduate called “Tech Today” where they learn the newest tech etc.). 🔥Also, include “life skills” and you’d feature a particular “life skill” the entire week in various ways- ex: learning HOW and WHY sharing is an important skill. For instance “sharing” for the kindergarten. Then 1st grade could be learning: “organizational skills” & they learn WHY and HOW to organize. You have that “life skill” focus for a week. A “life skill” for HS: grade 12 could be “interviewing delivery”(for their 1st job!). Through the years they develop into kind, bright kids w social intelligence, polite social skills and life skills!! Education they will actually USE!! We need this SO desperately. 🙏 (and have the other subjects of course- I’m just suggesting to add focus on social etiquette and life skills). We need a leader like yourself to step up and design a phenomenal program! Let’s bring back self and others awareness, kindness, *RESPECT, intelligence, positivity, etc. ! Our kids are in trouble.. WE are in trouble for the future.. these kids are scoring the lowest they ever have- I read that out of the top 50 counties, we came in as #48 in education 🥺. We are in TROUBLE and we need people like YOU! 🤍🙏🏼
