@piperthing: We know what it’s like to grow up with less. And this is not about blaming our parents—they did the best they could with what they had. But when we become mothers, we have the chance to give our children the things we didn’t have growing up. We teach them how to take care of themselves, we make sure they’re healthy, and even when it comes to their oral health, we try to give them the proper care from the very beginning. Maybe one day, they’ll ask, “Mom, why did you always take me to the dentist?” And I hope they’ll understand that we did it because we wanted to give them the care we never experienced as children.
