@catekettner: 🚨 WE LISTEN, BUT WE DON’T JUDGE… EVEN WHEN THE FASHION CHOICES WERE ABSOLUTELY UNHINGED. 🚨 Tell me the most irresponsible, unhinged, downright HORRIBLE fashion trend you participated in that you genuinely thought was the greatest invention on planet Earth… only to look back at photos now and think, “WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HELL WAS I WEARING?!” 😂 I’ll go first. GAUCHO PANTS. 🤦🏼‍♀️ And if you don’t know what gaucho pants are, I’m about to introduce you to one of the greatest fashion crimes of the early 2000s. Basically wide-leg Capri pants made from the most offensively stretchy T-shirt material imaginable. And for some reason, I was RIDE OR DIE for them. I wore those things like it was my full-time job. I genuinely thought I was serving. Looking back? 🚨 I WAS NOT SERVING. 🚨 And now they’re trying to bring gaucho pants BACK?! ABSOLUTELY NOT. If gaucho pants make a comeback, I will be organizing a protest. 😂 But I also need to give an honorable mention to Ashley Tisdale’s early-2000s red carpet wardrobe, because WHAT WAS HAPPENING?! 😂 The jeans under dresses. The questionable layers. The fur. The giant belts. The low-rise everything. The feather skirts. The bags. The random combinations of approximately 47 different trends happening in ONE outfit. Ashley Tisdale was—and still is—STUNNING. But her wardrobe stylist obviously hated her because those early-2000s ted carpet outfits were truly a masterclass in everything that could possibly be wrong with Y2K fashion happening simultaneously. 😂 And now look at her. She is absolutely gorgeous, polished, chic, and always looks incredible. Which makes those old red carpet looks even more confusing. 😂 So now it’s YOUR TURN: What early-2000s fashion trend did you participate in that you thought was EVERYTHING… but now makes you want to crawl under a rock when you see an old photo?!
