@zevinclark: Day 25 of 365: How Humans Work. Some of the things you’re most proud of about yourself may have started as ways you learned to survive. Your independence. Your ambition. Your ability to read a room. Always being the strong one. Never needing anyone. And those traits aren’t necessarily bad. Some of them may have become your greatest strengths. But the strategy can outlive the situation that created it. That’s why I’m learning to stop focusing only on what I don’t want to become and start asking a better question: What am I intentionally practicing becoming? You can spend your entire life running away from something and never actually run toward anything. Your past can explain who you became. It doesn’t get to decide who you become next. Day 25. We’re learning together.
