I did foster care for 7 years, but had to stop because it affected my only child. His grades declined, and finally he told me that he could not concentrate in school because he was worried for all the children, he feared that they were safe, if they had food, and a safe place to sleep. He was 6 when I started bringing these beautiful little children.

I commend anyone that can do this. I did this my 1st and only time and will never again. I had her from birth to 5 months and she was given back to her drug addicted parents only to be taken away 3 weeks later and given to another family member. I lost all faith in the system and a piece of my heart that day she was just like my own my daughter was 9 at the time and she was devastated to lose her "baby sister" we were told we would be adopting. It was hardest thing I have ever dealt with.

I remember what this felt like being a child of the system I was lucky to have been given my forever foster home from age six till I was 18 I was placed with a beautiful family I remember having children come through our home and it hurt having to say goodbye after bonding with them but it was beautiful to see them get that chance to go back to their families even though I didn't THANK U FOR SHARING UR STORY AND PLEASE KEEP DOING WHAT U DO U ARE A BLESSING 🥰😇😇😇😇
