#greenscreen Muscle damage does NOT cause hypertrophy in any way. People keep going to these bro science websites being misled and wonder why there’s confusion. - Directly you have hormones and growth factors that induce hypertrophy, then also indirectly by negative regulators being neutralized and mechanical signals interceding effects of resistance-based training. These are your ONLY 2 answers. - But we’re not talking about hormones and growth factors as everything we talk about is in regard to strength training. So actually your only answer is the mechanical signals that are caused through the phenomenon we describe as “mechanical tension”. - Your muscles aren’t tearing and growing back bigger. Hypertrophy doesn’t require damage. “Studies show that muscle damage causes hypertrophy”, no.. if muscle damage is seen with hypertrophy, mechanical tension took place. That’s literally it. Metabolic stress? No, mechanical tension took place. Two phenomenons can co-exist. It doesn’t mean that both are needed. - So what is the damage from? I will touch on that in part 2. So stay tuned #Fitness #GymTok #gym #fyp #bodybuilding
