I would usually hesitate to say this because my job has a steep learning curve but I made the mistake of adopting an idiot. I felt bad because this guy was new and seemed undertrained and confused. I decided to help him with a few things and said don’t be afraid to ask me questions. BIG MISTAKE. I meant ask me anything, not ask me EVERYTHING. He doesn’t even ask, he will just come get me with this blank expression on his face and mutter the issue. I will ask him to clarify and he will say he doesn’t know. It is like deciphering another language to even figure out what the problem is. I asked him thrice to get a little notebook to write what I’m telling him in. I ended up doing that for him. When I solve his problems, I explain only to realise he has walked away. Or I ask if he understood, he says yes, 5 minutes later he is asking the same thing. Do not be like me, it is a current regret of mine
