@royalderick1: The Queen of Congolese Rhumba, Mbilia Bel, released her famous song "Nakei Nairobi" in 1984, composed alongside the legendary Tabu Ley Rochereau.🔥 Did you know? This song shows how childhood friendships can sometimes be stronger than family ties! Mbilia Bel sings about traveling across Kenya with her dear friend and "twin," Elodie (Dunia). It is actually in this verse, and not the first stanza, like most of us think, that she sings the famous lines: "Nairobi, Mombasa ah, Nakuru, Kisumu toyebani..." "Harambee eh, Harambee eh, Harambee eh, Harambee, Nyayo..." So next time you sing along, save "Nairobi, Mombasa" for part two!😁 Check out part one on my page for the Lingala lyrics and English translation of the opening stanza. #Rhumba #rumbacongolaise #congolaise🇨🇩 #friendship #congo
