It’s too bad Kang got discontinued because of everything that happened with Jonathan Majors. Marvel had already spent years building Kang up through Loki and Quantumania, with all those variants setting up The Kang Dynasty. Having to throw that entire direction out is a big reason we’re getting things like Encore now as Marvel reworks the Multiverse Saga around Doctor Doom. Doom could still be amazing, but I would’ve loved to see how the original Kang storyline was supposed to play out. They could've recast the role. My favorite choices would've been John Boyega, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, or Aldis Hodge. Boyega especially could bring the intensity and charisma Kang needs while still making the character his own.
