@arabnews: Republic of Ireland and Israel players did not take part in the usual pre-match formalities ahead of Sunday’s controversial Uefa Nations League fixture at Nagyerdei Stadion. Ireland’s players stood for their anthem and appeared to bow their heads during Israel’s, before both teams moved straight into the match without the customary handshake line. Ireland captain Dara O’Shea and Israel captain Manor Solomon reportedly did not exchange pennants.
