the problem is we have this mindset of free and cheap commodities, we don't care how the country turns out to be in as much as we have almost everything free

This is the kind of podcast a reasonable people should be listening to. Very informative and enlightening. But some people are just blinded by ignorance.

as much as you didn't lie on the education I was admitted to federal University Of Technology Minna 2016 expecting to finish by 2021 five year course biochemistry. I had strike every year, there was a time in my 500L that we had strike and I stayed at 500L from 2021-2023. imagine when I thought I'll graduate at the age of 24 I finished around 26-27 before NYSC and those industries will be seeking for age below 26. imagine how that is costing our lives

What was the subsidy issue, importers were claiming for fuel that they didn't import. Lay the base. Now that you have removed subsidy it means you are no longer paying that 4bn...Health Sector govt invested only 20million naira, education sector there is no investment or anything new in the universities. They cannot strike because of fear of been victimised. What has removing subsidy solved critically, there are only two major roads being constructed Sokoto Badagry and Coastal and the govt is feeling it...The truth is there is more stealing going on than any govt.

Subsidy, in itself, is not a bad economic policy. The real issue with subsidy in Nigeria has been corruption, weak institutions, poor oversight and deliberate abuse of the system by politicians and public servant. Instead of allowing the benefits to reach the ordinary Nigerian, the system became vulnerable to diversion, fraudulent claims and hoarding, sometimes creating artificial scarcity and defeating the purpose of the policy altogether. Until we fix those institutional weaknesses, we will continue having impressive theories on paper and podcasts while ignoring the realities on the ground. Wake up to reality, sir.
