@mothershipsg: Loh Kean Yew made history after beating South Korea's Yoo Tae Bin in the men's singles badminton semi-final on Sep. 28. After narrowly taking the first game 21-19, Loh was pushed to a decider when Yoo fought back to win the second 19-21. The Singaporean then pulled away in the third game, sealing the best-of-three match with a decisive 21-12 victory. Loh will face world No. 2, Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn, in the final on Sep. 29, becoming the first Singaporean to advance to an Asian Games badminton final. Before Loh’s historic run, the only time Team Singapore had reached the Asian Games badminton podium was in 2006, when the women’s team won bronze.
