@cern.official: Here we see teams securing the main electrical circuits of the Large Hadron Collider at Point 1 as part of CERN’s major upgrade and maintenance phase known as LS3. On 29 June, teams began locking out the LHC’s electrical circuits to ensure the accelerator could be worked on safely throughout LS3. Similar operations have continued across the LHC, with the work now extending to the rest of CERN’s accelerator complex this month. These essential safety procedures marked the beginning of the road to the #HiLumiLHC, paving the way for an upgraded collider that will deliver more data for future discoveries.
