Girl I did this and it took over 12 months to grow back!!

Girl I did the same to my finger. I went to urgent care, they numbed it, pulled it out, cleaned it and then reinserted it because if you take it out fully it will likely grow back deformed because the nail bed dries and the cuticle closes. I had to clean it and tape it for a month until the new one underneath grew and pushed the old one out.
