Pot Roast in the crock pot. #cozy #crockpot #fall #food #homemade Receipe below. 1 chuck roast 2-4 pounds (seasoned with Montreal steak seasoning) 2 small sweet onions (finely chopped) 1 shallot (finely chopped) 1 bulb of garlic (finely chopped) 6 small golden potatoes (cubed) Carrots (5 or 6 peeled and chopped) Bay leaves 3-4 2 cans beef consume 2 cups of water 1/4 cup of flour 1/2 cup French onion soup mix Salt & Pepper to taste Heat skilelt to medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot add finely chopped onion, shallot and garlic to pan. Cook until translucent. Transfer to crock pot. Add additional olive oil back into hot skillet if needed. Season chuck roast with Montreal steak seasoning, cover all sides. Turn pan to medium high heat. Brown roast on all sides. While this browns add your beef consume, salt, pepper, bay leaves, soup mix & water to crock pot. Set crock pot@To low heat. Stir to combine. Once roast is browned add roast to crock pot. Place lid on for 5 hours. Then add your carrots & potatoes. Cook on low additional 2 hours or until fork tender. Once complete remove roast & veggies into large dish. Transfer liquid from crock pot into large skillet set on medium high head. Take approximately 1 cup of liquid & add 1/4 cup of flour to make a slurry. Add slurry to skillet constantly stirring liquid and it thickens into gravy. Serve over roast & veggies. Enjoy 😊
