@carrotlaneofficial: I don’t say this to try and be Nostradamus. I’ve just seen it play out like clockwork 50+ times. People get up in coins, then immediately start looking for the next rotation. This is the house money effect. Your mental accounting becomes: “Let me take this money I’ve made and rotate it into something else.” When people are up in the token of a popular NFT art chain, Ethereum being the obvious example, some of that money rotates into expressive art assets on that chain. And this is where it gets interesting. The supply friction is enormous. There might only be 10, 100 or 1,000 pieces in a collection. So when demand arrives, price moves can become exaggerated, particularly for the most culturally significant artists and IP plays. If you can get the art right, the upside can make coins look silly. Because you already have exposure to the underlying coin through the asset anyway. Then you layer demand for the artist or IP independently of the token on top. That’s like jet fuel.
