Esther 5:1-2 - "Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court... and the king held out to her the golden sceptre." Esther did three things in order. Many of us miss the order. *1. SHE SOUGHT GOD FIRST* She did not rush to the king. She fasted and prayed three days. Esther 4:16 - "Fast ye for me... I also and my maidens will fast likewise."_ Never take a major step without seeking the face of God. Prayer is not delay; it is preparation. Fasting does not move God; it positions you to hear God. *2. SHE WAITED FOR A PROMPTING, THEN TRUSTED GOD* The Bible says "on the third day" she arose. She did not stay fasting forever. There is a time to pray and a time to move. You should desire a prompting, a peace, a word, a release from the Lord before you move. Psalm 32:8 - "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go." Isaiah 30:21 - "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it." Do not be presumptuous, but do not be paralyzed by over-spirituality. After you have prayed, trust that God has heard and will back you. *3. ABOVE IT ALL, YOU MUST TAKE ACTION* Prayer without a step is wishful thinking. After three days of prayer, Esther still had to _put on her royal apparel and stand_ in the court. If she had only prayed and not stood, there would have been no scepter. The prayer was in the closet. The favor was in the court. You must move from closet to court. James 2:17 - "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." Exodus 14:15 - "Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward." God will not do the standing for you. You prayed? Now dress up, prepare your CV, make the call, submit the proposal, preach the message, go and see the king. *Conclusion:* Seek God. Get His prompting. Then TAKE THE STEP. When you move after prayer, the scepter will be extended. *Prayer:* Lord, give me grace not just to pray, but to move when it is time to move, in Jesus' name.
