that's not the time she did that, but that was her after divorcing tommy mottola, the ceo of sony music, which was the label she was signed to. it was an extremely risky move because she was going up against someone who had so much power and influence over her career and the music industry at the time. she was basically putting her career and future at risk by walking away from that situation, but she still chose to do it because she wanted to have control over her own life and career
