Back in 1066 pevensey castle was on the coast and the current wetlands were a lagoon. So it was an even better landing zone. Its dried up now through a combo of natural shingle deposit cycles and man made sea defences

forgive my ignorance 🤔 in school, many decades ago, we only ever knew 1066, never a day and month. so....my question...how do you know this, was the calendar even a thing back then ?

I live here, I didn’t know about the red scrape around the side of the castle. There’s a petition going around at the moment to stop the heavy goods vehicles. Maybe this video could help !
