An alligator’s bite is one of the strongest in the animal kingdom, so gripping a smooth stone would be no challenge at all. By swinging its powerful neck and tail together, it could generate enough force to launch a rock surprisingly far. Since alligators already use their tails for explosive bursts of speed in the water, using that same power to add momentum to a throw seems almost believable in this imaginary scenario.
