@katieandcourage: 1. You need evidence before you trust your own feelings. You save texts. Remember exact words. Build your case. Because “that hurt me” stopped being enough. 2. You make decisions based on their reaction. Not What do I want? but Will this cause a problem? 3. You’re obsessed with explaining yourself correctly. You think if you can find exactly the right words, they’ll finally understand. 4. You’re always “the bigger person.” You forgive. Accommodate. Give grace. Examine yourself. Somehow, maturity became a one-person job. 5. You defend them while describing what they did to you. “They had a hard childhood.” “They’re stressed.” “They didn’t mean it.” 6. You can read their mood in seconds. The footsteps. The face. The silence. You know who walked through the door before they say a word. 7. Being misunderstood feels dangerous. You desperately need to correct their version of events because you know what happens if you don’t. 8. You need them to agree that your boundary is reasonable. You don’t just say no. You prepare a closing argument for why you’re allowed to say it. 9. You’ve stopped telling people the whole truth. Because saying it out loud would force you to admit how bad things have become. 10. When they hurt you, you investigate yourself. Was I too sensitive? Was it my tone? Did I provoke it? Maybe I’m the problem. One behavior doesn’t diagnose a narcissist. Look at the pattern. Because sometimes the biggest sign isn’t what they started doing to you. It’s what you had to start doing to yourself to survive the relationship. #toxicrelationship #narcissim #emotionalabuse #HealingJourney #selfworth
