Lanterns imo is the Andor of the superhero shows/movies currently. There has been so much garbage from dc and marvel and we FINALLY have a superhero show that’s clearly made for adults.

It definitely made me understand Hal more this episode and always had the feeling that hal did like John ( they basically been hinting at that the whole series) but he was too caught up in trying to keep his ring to tell him. The fact that hal left something behind for John to find like his grandpa did to his father and his father for him basically tells you he saw John in that way, like a son. Even by saying "Great arm, kid" because that's what hal's dad said to him. He loved John in his own way but never knew how to say it.

it's a great way to symbolize being afraid of having what you hold onto and refuse to let go and the lengths one is willing to go, the ups n downs. Now we are gonna get a cliffhanger ofc! Hopefully Some! questions get answered tho.
