@legitalgorithmswithpeter: Linux vs Windows: which one is better for software developers? 🐧🪟 The honest answer? It depends on what you build. 🐧 Linux gives you control, powerful Unix tooling, package managers, native containers, deep system access, and an environment that closely matches most production servers. 🪟 Windows gives you convenience, excellent hardware support, Visual Studio, gaming tools, and access to software that developers may specifically need. And then there’s WSL2 — giving Windows developers a real Linux environment while keeping their Windows apps. The catch? Keep projects inside the Linux filesystem for better file performance. For backend, DevOps, cloud, embedded, and AI infrastructure, Linux has major advantages. For Windows-specific software, .NET desktop development, and game development, Windows can make more sense. The real takeaway: Don’t choose an OS because someone says it’s “better.” Choose the one that matches what you actually build. 👨‍💻 #Linux #Windows #SoftwareDevelopment #DevOps #Programming

Its kernel is completely the opposite from being modular. I know what you meant to say, but the chosen words are very unfortunate

I had to switch back to windows for work and it’s just painful to use. Everything is so slow and choppy. Aside that tho it’s just a terrible operating system to use
