Mahabali agreed. Suddenly, Vamana revealed his cosmic Trivikrama form. With one step he covered the earth, with the second the heavens—and there was nowhere left for the third. Without hesitation, Mahabali bowed his head and offered himself. Pleased by his devotion and humility, Lord Vishnu blessed Mahabali and, according to tradition, allowed him to return and visit his beloved people once every year.
