That medical aid amount is way too low. Also, can we talk about how we are being penalised (taxed) for trying to save??? We already paid income tax on that money. Then we pay more tax on the growth.

I earn too much to qualify for NSFAS, but not enough to afford a R1 million bond. I earn too much for assistance, but too little to build wealth. So I stay trapped in a cycle of debt just to afford life, while SARS takes money from me every month to fund social support more like for corruption. Then I’m expected to save for my own retirement — with what money? The same money I’m using to survive? Too rich for help. Too poor to get ahead. See the cycle? Make it make sense.
