@offenceregister: Donna Bentley Avoids Prison Over Historical Child Sexual Abuse 👇 FULL CASE DETAILS BELOW 👇 Former charity care manager Donna Bentley, aged 53, has avoided a prison sentence at Jersey’s Royal Court after being convicted of historical sexual offences against a schoolboy. Bentley was found guilty by a unanimous jury in July of two counts of procuring an act of gross indecency and one count of indecent assault. Jurors deliberated for over seven and a half hours before returning their verdicts. The court heard the offences occurred in the 1990s, when Bentley was in her early 20s and the victim was a child under 16. Crown Advocate Carla Carvalho outlined the enduring impact of the abuse, detailing how the victim went on to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic sexual anxiety. Bentley, who resigned from her role as care manager at learning disability charity Les Amis following the charges, was sentenced to 456 hours of community service instead of an immediate custodial term.
