Many divorced women were once first-time wives who entered marriage with the potential to be great wives and mothers, but ended up divorced because their husbands were unwilling or unprepared to fulfil their responsibilities and instead expected to be mothered and have their needs constantly prioritised. Yet after divorce, it is often the woman whose ability to be a wife and mother—and even her worthiness to marry again—is questioned, while the man’s role in why the marriage failed is overlooked. Although I understand your point and agree that divorced women can be great women to marry again, I think we should stop making videos about why it’s okay to marry a divorced woman and start talking more about why men should fulfil their responsibilities and behave properly in the first marriage, so there are fewer divorced women in the first place.

I think saying that divorced women are the easiest to marry is wrong on so many levels. you need to correct this. They are the easiest to be Exploited by men who want to use them because very often they have learned to take care of themselves alone and don’t asked much of men. They are already struggling with enough stigma for you to add more to it. And yes, I’m a divorced woman and I asked for divorce myself. I’m single and happy and don’t need the hassle of babysitting men. No thank you.

divorced or not, its all about the aqeeda. I married a divorcee, 10 years later, divorced, she cheated on me and was also mentally and emotionally controlling me, so being married previously doesnt mean anything

Yes brother, absolutely. Jazaak Allaahu khayran for speaking about this. 🤍 Allaah created men and women for one another. Being divorced or widowed does not mean that a woman suddenly stops needing companionship, love, support and affection. We still have that natural desire to have someone beside us — a husband who can be a source of support, protection and comfort. And likewise, a man needs the love, companionship and sakeenah that a wife can bring into his life. We need one another. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ married widows and previously married women. So being divorced or widowed should never make a woman feel as though her chance at love, companionship and marriage has passed. May Allaah grant every brother and sister who sincerely longs for marriage a righteous spouse who will be a source of sakeenah, love and mercy. Allaahuma Ameen.
