The fact that you didn’t run to that field…of course don’t interfere with the medical staff but I would have ran to my kid immediately if I knew something was wrong ..that’s weird

my son broke his collar bone sledding with his dad, the fit I threw to get him seem was unreal, but it was broken. mom gut is a real powerful thing

My son took an illegal hit to the top of the head. As a parent to an athlete for many years, you know not to rush the field as much as your gut is in knots. Once you knew something was wrong you immediately told your husband to go. That wait for the coach to tell me to come down was the longest time of my life. As soon as the staff and onsite EMTs got him stable I ran to the field just to let him know I was there. You want to be there but also want to let medical do their job. You are a GREAT mom, don’t let the crappy comments take any space in your mind.

My son just broke his and I knew right away. It’s such a bad pain that they can’t tell right away where it’s coming from shoulder neck chest. My guy is tough as nails and he cried. He was afraid to move bc he just knew something was really not ok. Prayers for a speedy recovery the first 3-4 days are rough but then it’s much easier!

its a hard call, u wanna run but u dont wanna embarrass them. sometimes it just takes a min for them to shake it off, but after a few minutes if they arent up im going and have a few times.

Ugh it’s the worst running on the field for a bad injury. My 8 year old just broke his tibia and fibula during a football game 😭 Sending good healing vibes your way 🤍

I know how hard this is and how hard to be on the sidelines and not right with him!! My daughter was a gymnast and the coaches did NOT want mom running in. I knew the times when I needed to go though and no one was stopping me. I hope it’s a fast recovery. Hugs to all of you
