I called off once because I was diagnosed with MS and wasn't doing great. a week later my grandmother died and on the day of her funeral my mom collapsed and died. To be honest with you, sometimes I don't even believe me that it happened. just saying sometimes it's a lot. 😂

We've been brainwashed to the extent that we are expected to base our whole lives around work. Yes we need to work to have money to sustain all our needs but we need to also live, I take off days even to just sleep and rewire sometimes life is not school.

Let's be honest. The truth is that work isn't everyone's first priority. Is there anyone out there who never had a day that they felt their time would have better spent taking care of things at home? Not sorry. If I know it's going to be a slow day of just going through the motions at work, but I have more important things to do at home, I'm taking the day off. And I couldn't care less what anyone at work thinks. If I disappeared, they'd just find someone to replace me. I'm the only dad my kids will ever have, the only husband my wife will ever have, and the one person my dog loves more than anyone in the world. You think I'm going to sacrifice any of that for a job that won't miss me when I'm gone? If you think that's wrong, you're the screwed up one.

i was sick the week before my vacation, then one week vacation. on the last day of vacation i get in a car accident. 3 weeks sick leave :) i dont think they believe me but oh well
