As an archon, Ei is still not a good archon, might be considered as one of the worst. But as individual, as Ei, she’s one of the most unfortunate being. She have a really deep attachment to her twin Makoto, losing her in cataclysm because Makoto is the archon at that time while she stayed back in Inazuma to defend the nation and not being able to save her twin on time must have wounded her deeply. She’s a well written character and its coming from someone who used to hate her as well

I honestly loved her character growth. She was so cold before but it's because she didn't know how to process grief. To see her admit she was wrong and genuinely try to work on herself was a difficult and human thing to do. I will always love her writing. 🥰

Ei’s character story quests were the most satisfying thing about going to Inazuma for me. And she’s…positively more adorable and softer than the Raiden Shogun Puppet we knew and saw in Inazuma’s Archon Quest. It was really sweet to see how the nation she watches over changed its perception of the Shogun entirely since Makoto’s era ended. Ei’s a rather an easy to love character once you do her character quests as well. At first when I never played? I never understood the love for her, but when I did play? My view on her was acceptance, trust, and adoration.
