Our drivers think Zebra crossings are just there to decorate the road. I stopped for pedestrians at the Wuse Market zebra crossing and the drivers behind him were just honking and shouting. I didn’t move an inch till all the people standing by the roadside crossed. I got a salute from the traffic wardens ahead and I was happy I did that. I drive in the UK and wouldn’t risk not stopping at a pedestrian crossing while visiting Nigeria. Lest I come back to the UK attempt that. I don’t know where our people are always rushing to.
